Dr Anita Horvatić is Assistant professor at the Faculty of Food Technology and Biotechnology, University of Zagreb (since 2020). She was awarded her PhD in Chemistry in 2014 by the Faculty of Science, University of Zagreb. She is an expert in proteomics and metabolomics analyzing clinical and biological samples by various LC-MS technology and subsequent data analysis tools. She gained her hands-on experience by working in Pliva R&D, Ruđer Bošković Institute and Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University of Zagreb and the scientific training at Glasgow Polyomics. Her scientific interest is focused to the application of MS-based omics methods in biomedicine, biotechnology, and nutrition. Among co-authorship of more than 60 peer-reviewed scientific articles, she is listed as an inventor on the international patent related to enhanced MS-based protein identification. In 2014 she was awarded the L'Oréal award For Women in Science.
