Blanka Roje holds a PhD in Biomedicine obtained at University of Split School of Medicine, Croatia and MSc in Biology and Chemistry Education (University of Split, Faculty of Science, Split, Croatia). She is currently employed as a postdoctoral researcher in the Laboratory for cancer research at the University of Split School of Medicine, Croatia. Her research interests are the role of inflammation and microbiota in bladder cancer development and pathogenesis. She was trained in transcriptomics and metagenomics. Blanka was awarded with EMBO short-term fellowship for two-month visit to ROCHE Gycart Ag, and to three-month visit to Michael Zimmermann laboratory in EMBL Heidelberg, Germany.
