MADDALENA PACELLI

Sapienza University, Rome, Italy

Dr Maddalena Pacelli completed her studies in Biotechnology and Genetic and Molecular Biology at Sapienza University in Rome. Driven by a strong interest in cutting-edge technologies for transcriptomics, she relocated to Berlin to join the Berlin Institute for Medical Systems Biology (MDC). She then transitioned to the Italian Institute of Technology, where she gained valuable experience in integrating different types of omics data while focusing on quantitative trait loci analysis. In 2021, Dr. Pacelli joined the Systems Immunology Department at the Weizmann Institute of Science, with a primary focus on molecular design of receptors for cell therapy. Back in Sapienza university, she is currently a member of Prof. A. Paiardini's laboratory, where she works on the design of small molecule inhibitors and therapeutic peptides for drug development. Additionally, she contributes to the in silico functionalization of nanoparticles for targeted drug delivery.
